I heard it was a rough crowd. Some Ear fan mouthed off to someone from Georgia and got his Dole fruit knocked down his throat.

Kind of like the pregnant bitch you guys curb stomped after the LSU loss at home.

I was there. Nearly all of the UGA fans I met were great, before and after the game.

The only thing close that happened with me or anybody I know is some drunk guy in the bathroom. Came up to the urinal next to me and started yelling how they were going to kick our ass (we were up 28-0 at that point) and I just said, "you'll have to stop turning the ball over first" and he started yelling more saying "WE don't turn the ball over, YOU turn the ball over". I'm guessing he was too drunk to realize our 28-0 lead was partially due to a couple of turnovers by them.

After the game, every UGA fan I saw or talked to was complimentary of our team and especially of the band.

Do you actually have a point? I do have a couple of first hand accounts of Marshall fans at the first FOC Bowl that is less than flattering.

Hahahhah....reminds me of the first time saw an LSU game in Baton Rouge. I went down there wit ha bunch of UK buddies and Kentucky beat an awful LSU squad in Curly's last days as coach down there . Some drunk kept yelling " Tiger Bait" as we left the stadium, I'm like " Tiger bait' ..you fools just lost the game by 2 TD's!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

You have nothing left. Losing to MTSU will take all the air out of you. Losses to Ohio U and MTSU in the same year. Good thing that's never happened before. LMAO!

There's always one or two ... I don't let it taint the character of an entire fan base though. That was a big stadium (70k+, if memory serves) and basically packed, and in their backyard so the WVU fans were outnumbered by probably 2-1 if not more. I had an issue with exactly ONE UGA fan.

Isn't it cute when Little Detroit gets all worked up?

most fights I ever saw at a Mountaineer game was the Fiesta Bowl...after our 5th or maybe the 6th TD, the OU fans threw down in 8 or 9 places and then left the stadium.... never seen anything like it

Isn't it funny that Little Detroit is bringing up things his racist, white trash friends told him that they heard happened almost a decade ago. I guess when you are losing to teams ranked in the 90s and 100s,it is hard to come up with material...

Poor marshall fan speading lies because his team got their ass kicked by a nobody.

I saw a drunken VTech fan attempt to punch King Harvey's mom in Blacksburg back in '82. It happened across the way from me in the concourse under the stands. Talk about dumb. There was a VA. State Trooper standing a couple of yards away. The fan got clotheslined and cuffed in one motion in under 10 seconds.

That cop must have been a steer roper in previous life. If the cop hadn't got him, King's Mom would have snapped his neck. She was a healthy, full grown woman.

The majority of the Tech fanbase looked like they were auditioning for a Junior Samples look-a-like contest that day. Nothing but bib overalls and worn out Tech caps as far as the eye could see.

yeh....you HEARD it was a rough crowd.....you heard it because you weren't there.....you weren't there because your team sucks and the only way you'll EVER experience a big game atmosphere is watching US on the big stage.....relax....steal some more money from your mom's purse and take another hit....Joe D says ......."RELAX":sunglasses:

I was there. Living in Georgia for 22 years that game was special. All Bulldog fans talked trash before the game but I didn't find a single fan (to this day as I still live here) that didn't show respect for us then and now after that game. Leaving the dome, I was stopped by many a bulldog fan, butt hurt over the loss, but they wanted to shake my hand and tell me what a good team we had.

Of course, Marshall receives respect from no one because they haven't earned any.

This sure was a great addition to our trophy case. One of three BCS trophies. Yes something else Moo U will NEVER have.

I live in Chattanooga and my experience at the Sugar Bowl was much the same. Only remember one who tried to talk trash after the game... she told me and ParrotheadEER that she would put us in her fish blender as we left the game. I have no idea what she meant and her friends all apologized, explaining that she was hammered, which seemed quite evident. Had a great time at that game and honestly, the same was true at the Bama game as well. Living in this part of the country I see WVU getting a lot of respect from the SEC fans around, but most seem to have no idea of who marshall is.
