Any mechanics on the board ?

I have a 96 Chevy truck that has a 5.7 motor with 176,000 miles on it. It still runs really good but if it sits a few days or when it's cold,the motor has a little knock for maybe a minute or so.

I really don't want to put a bunch of money in doing a valve job or anything like that.

I was wondering if there's any known additive for the oil that would help clean oil lines,oil pump and the ports in the motor that is sold over the counter THAT WORKS ?
