WVU - MU in Charleston would have been an interesting game to be sure...but not at all confident we would beat WVU this year! But it would have been a fun game and in my minds athletics, in it's lowest common denominator is about entertainment nothing more! The Cousins cannot get over that fact and equate it to a zero sum game rather than a fun game!

Not so fast mon ami. In spite of how bad this years version of WVU basketball is, the latest NET rankings (the only one that matters these days), WVU is still ranked 45 spots higher than Marshall.

Oui.......but D'Antoni eliminated the chance of that ever happening when he issued his doctrine saying that if WVU didn't agree to HIS terms it meant WVU was afraid. Had he not poked the Bear, chance are we could have settled this debate in Charleston. I wonder if Dan can still taste the toe jam from putting his foot in his mouth on that fateful day.

that is true......and the blame for that can be laid at the feet of Hamrick,Doc, and the piece de resistance....the dantoni doctrine....some day maybe the herd will learn it's not nice to poke the bear, especially if you don't have any bullets in your own weapon
