We lost on the road by 1 point to the #8 team in the country. Time for the Herdiots to show their faces again.

Buzzard, you win some, you lose some. With that said, I was just reading your main forum, and see that it was the officiating (again) that cost you to lose. WVU remains undefeated in games when the officials don't cheat them. Congrats on your unblemished record.

You never read anywhere that I blamed the game on the refs. I saw bad calls and missed calls go both ways, as usually happens in every game. A long time ago I used to referee some myself, so I tend to give the officials the benefit of the doubt.

I saw bits and pieces of that game, between the Michigan/MSU & Falcons playoff game. Based on WVU's style of play, one would have to believe they'll always have more fouls called on them than the team they're playing. Plus, the NCAA made rules changes that weren't beneficial to WVU's style.

With all that said, we're only halfway through the season, and from my perspective, there's at least 15 teams, maybe more, that could make a run and win it all. Unlike years in the past, I couldn't begin to tell you who the number 1 seeds will end up being. It seems Villanova is probably the strongest bet right now to get a top billing. Outside of them, it's hard to say, but I would imagine the Big 12 champ and ACC champ will get #1 seeds, and perhaps a 2nd team from one of those conferences, unless MSU gets things figured out. Kansas doesn't appear to be all that great this year (decent, but not the usual KU squad), so I'm guessing their streak of winning the Big 12 will end this year.

I think the new NCAA rules are a direct result of WVU's defensive style of play. Just my opinion, but I see them wanting to speed the game up and make it more like the NBA..................for what, I don't know. Maybe they think fans are more entertained by 121-120 scores. Maybe they don't like seeing the hyped up media made superstars taken out of their game.

As far as the rest of your post, it's far too early to worry about tournament seeding with half the season left to play.
