maybe this time we'll get the truth....

The FBI did far more editing of former FBI Director James Comey’s statement on their probe of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s private email server than previously known, edits that erased serious concerns the FBI initially had, according to a key senator.

In documents provided by Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, there were three major edits to Comey’s statement that seemed to absolve Clinton.

The changes included reducing Clinton’s “culpability” in the scandal, removing references to the intelligence community’s role in the probe, and downgrading the likelihood that spies had penetrated Clinton’s private server stuck in the basement of her New York home.

Johnson is now demanding that everybody connected to the process of writing and editing Comey’s statement be identified. “We are asking for everyone that edited the speech,” said a committee official.

He is also looking into the pro-Clinton, anti-President Trump bias in the probe.

Initially, the only major edit revealed was that FBI insiders cut out the reference to Clinton being “grossly negligent.” But it went much further.

For example, they cut out Comey’s initial plan to refer to the “sheer volume” of email on Clinton’s server. Johnson said that was in an effort to “deemphasize the amount of classified information” held on Clinton’s private server.

Johnson’s letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray also cited another major edit. “The edited version also contained a sentence that read, “This is especially concerning because all of these emails were housed on servers not supported by full-time security staff, like those found at the departments and agencies of the U.S. government.” Comey did not use that sentence in his final statement.

Comey was also planning to give credit to the intelligence community for helping in the Clinton probe, but that was cut out.

classified” to make them Secret or Confidential; the information i
n those had not been classified at the time the emails were sent. The FBI also discovered xxxx several thousand work-related emails that were not in the group of 34,000 30,000 that were returned by Secretary Clinton to State in 20145. We found those additional emails in a variety of ways. Some had been deleted over the years and we found traces of them on devices that supported or were connected to the private email domain. Others we found by reviewing the archived government email accounts of people who had been government employees at the same time as Secretary Clinton, including high-ranking officials at other agencies, with whom a Secretary of State might naturally correspond. This helped us recover work-related emails that were not among the 34,00030,000 produced to State. Still others we recovered from the laborious review of the millions of email fragments dumped into the slack space of the server decommissioned in 2013xx. All told, we found xxxx thousands of emails that were not among those produced to the State Department last year in late 2014.Of those, we assessed that xxxx possibly contained classified information at the time they were sent or received andso we sent them to other government agencies for classification determinations. To date, agencies have concluded that xxxx of those were classified at the time they were sent or received, xxx at the Secret level and xxxx at the Confidential level. There were no additional Top Secret emails found. Finally, xxxx none of
those we found have since been “up classified.”
I should add here that we found no evidence that any of the additional work-related emails we found were intentionally deleted in an effort to conceal them. Our assessment is that, like many users of private email accounts, Secretary Clinton periodically deleted emails or emails were purged from the system when devices were changed. Because she was not using a government account, there was no archiving of her emails, so it is not surprising that we discovered emails that were
not on Secretary Clinton’s system in 201
5 4, when she produced the 34,000 30,000 emails to the State Department. It could also be that some of the additional work-related emails we recovered werea mong those deleted as
“personal” by Secretary Clinton’s lawyers when they
reviewed and sorted her emails for production in 20145. We have conductedinterviews and done technical examination to attempt to understand how thatsorting was done. Although we do not have complete visibility because we are not

And there were edits, said Johnson, to “downgrade the likelihood that hostile actors penetrated Secretary Clinton’s private server.”

Before: “We also assess that Secretary Clinton’s use of a private email domain was both known by a large number of people and readily apparent. Given the combination of factors, we assess it is reasonably likely that hostile actors gained access to Secretary Clinton’s private email account.”

After: “Given that combination of factors, we assess it is possible that hostile actors gained access to Secretary Clinton’s personal email account.”

Summary: The FBI produced documentation that would have held Hillbag culpable. Obama's original statement, probably orders to Lynch, then down, entirely changed the final meaning of the documentation.

Bit by bit we get little pieces from the IG. I'm guessing if they did it all at once people would be in DC with pitchforks.

I said last year. It was ordered by Obama's administration that Clinton would not be prosecuted, long before Comey's infamous speech letting her off the hook. The fix was in from the get go. What they didn't expect was Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio.
