I touched on this in a thread last night, but can anyone provide a reasonable explanation as to why we are going for 2 after CJ's TD?
We struggled to get in the first time, so it's not like we were rolling. They were reviewing the TD, so it's not like we caught them by surprise. And, succeeding would have only left us down 13 instead of 14. So... failing left us down another 2 TDs and a 2 pointer.
For a guy that stresses analytics, it doesn't make sense. Does anyone have an actual reason?
You take a chance on one extra point that doesn't matter, but you pass up 3 points to take an early lead in the game?
If this is where we are at, we are in for a long season.
