have said that Dana's record was acceptable if we would have known what it would be 5 years later?" I think the answer is a definitive NO. If that's the case, then what is there to discuss? He has been a failure and it's not getting better. Actually, it's getting worse. Since we have a new AD, I would be very surprised if Dana isn't fired at the end of the year (this assumes we don't finish with 5 straight victories; I think we'll only win 1 or 2 more). We can afford the buy outs with the money we make from being in the B12 and we can't keep pouring money down the rabbit hole that is this coaching staff.

Allen "SEC" Taylor doesn't often say good things about West Virginia or the conference. Your guess is as good as mine as to why he moved here to cover a team he has never followed this late in his career. I think we still go to a bowl game and if we win that one look for a good season next year. Our conference opponents so far are 28-1 and I am all ears as to who you think could do better against the competition that we have played (and wants to be here). This is generally where the discussion ends.

Why can't we be one of those teams that are 28-1? I'm not saying that we're going to be there every year but I think once within the first 5 years we should at least be in the conversation for winning the conference. I don't know who our next coach should be but that's why we have an AD with significant contacts.

They are 28-1 because the recruiting base in our opponets areas are some of the most fertile in the country. The Northeast and Midwest where we recruit from is in decay.
Depth is a huge issue. We are getting some solid recruits, but not enough.
Some of you think we dominated the Big East. We did not and this conference is tough from top to bottom except Kansas.
We will have good season every four or five years, but for those of you who think we will dominate this conference are delusional.
As for Taylor, he would not be at WVRC if he had any talent at all. He is hack.

That 28-1 record has come against cup cake out of conference foes and against the lower part of the conference, as the Big 12 back loads their schedules for the top teams. Those loses will start to mount from here on out. And since when did it become acceptable to just shrug off loses based on the opponents record?

not if we still got Skyler Howard at QB. Not a QB for this level, can't score when needed in Big 12.

every time you morons bring up 28-1, you make yourself look more and more clueless, if that is possible. I will say again 28-1 against Lamar, Cent Ark, Cent Mich, Kansas, Iowa St, Smu, and yes......WVU. Only two games are OK wins....Tenn and Texas Tech. Even we were undefeated against the cupcakes we played the first 3 weeks.......so COMMON sense would tell you that those 4 teams SHOULD be 28-1 against a bunch of cupcakes!!!

The Big 12 opponents and schedules are as good as the schedules in other conferences, and going up against teams that are 30-1 is as tough as it gets in college football. In additional to the records, the 4 Big 12 teams that WVU has faced are highly ranked in the Coaches poll and the AP poll. And even though your personal views aren't aligned with the majority of sports writers, college football coaches, most knowledgable fans, power rankings, computer rankings, and actual records, you aren't the least bit embarrassed to share them with the board. Bravo!

Junior looked good with a mustache. Larry the Cable Guy is but a poor imitation.

RIP Big Feller. Salute!
