Adjacent colleges not interested in West Virginia prep talent

The five Power Five colleges in states adjoining West Virginia have a combined total of ONE player from a West Virginia high school on their rosters. But WVU has dozens.

So why all the clamor for recruiting West Virginia high school talent more when surrounding schools like Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia and Maryland don't bother?

Dorian Etheridge from Capital High is a current star LB for Louisville and a high draft pick for NFL next year. WVU could have landed him but they choked badly. Wow would it be nice to have this WV freak at LB now.

Wesco, Drummond, Stills, Donahue, Pitts, Tonkery all showing how easy it is to start at WVU. All WV natives. All except for Pitts lowly recruited. It ain’t that difficult folks. WVU needs more good WV kids.

It’s pathetic to see these so called WVU fans running the state of WV into the ground on here. Newsflash guy, half of our out of state recruits are special olympic level. We waste a lot of scholarships on out of state recruits that end up leaving, quitting cause they suck badly. What do we have to lose?

Bad out of state recruiting. We must do better. Make up for it with 3-4 more in state recruits every year. The out of state recruiting is so bad we end up 15 scholarships under. What do we have to lose? Half of our out of state recruits couldn’t even play D2.
