exposed KU and let them with no clothes! March Madness will be entertaining stuff to be sure!

I take it that you missed the end of the game, Tony Lies?
I quit watching when WVU was up 16 in the waning minutes...was the + 4 1/2 no good? Heard Dicky V chastising the home crowd for getting a jump on the traffic...was there a monumental meltdown/comeback?

Just read about it in USA Today, must have been a wild ending. Still Mounties won the bets and I still think they are a better team than KU's phony ass. March will be very interesting, several teams that can win it all. Not sure Mounties shoot well enough to hang the banner but convinced KU won't either.

If you were one of the lucky ones who took WVU and 4 1/2 points, then you won your bet. I think that most people probably bet when the line was between 2 1/2, and 4, but don't know that for sure. With less than 3 minutes on the clock, and Kansas down 14, WVU fell apart, the Jaybirds finally made some of the open threes that they had missed for most of the game, and WVU turned the ball over, due to...get this...Kansas' full-court press. WVU was outscored 21-7 in the last 2:43 of regulation, then lost in overtime.

Monumental meltdown. We started turning the ball over on the inbounds plays. We had a 5 second call against us (fastest 5 second call ever, but it shouldn't have mattered). They started hitting everything and made their free throws.

We had the ball at the end of regulation with the score tied. I'm not sure what we were supposed to run, but Philip just held the ball, did a couple jab steps and chucked a 3 that missed. I have no idea why he didn't drive it

What makes Kansas a pretender is its lack of an inside game, especially on the offensive end. Landen Lucas is a good defensive big man/rim protector, but Kansas has no other "bigs" who are worth a crap. Carlton Bragg, Jr., a five-star recruit from Cleveland, is a total bust. Kansas seized control of the game in the First Half when it went on a 16-0 run to make it 26-21, but then Lucas picked up his second ticky-tack foul and headed to the bench. WVU took complete control of the game until 2:43 left in regulation. Huggins rightly told his guys to take the ball inside with Lucas out of the game, and they did so.

Kansas won by 4 ... so if you'd have taken the points you'd be good

I'm no Kansas believer either...they have flaws as you pointed out but so do all the " contenders" for the crown, IMHO!

Wow, wish I would have stuck with the game, thought it was in the bag when the home crowd bugged out!

I am not saying this to suggest we will win the Big12 tourney because who knows WTF will happen, but I don't think Kansas is all that great this year. Somehow they win, but we are a bad matchup for them and they really struggle with us. Took a miracle for them to win last night at home. I feel much the same about Baylor. I do think the tourney in KC is there for us to take if we can avoid what has been our weird bugaboos this year.

I was thinking in bigger terms than just the Big 12 Tourny but I love WVU over KU in a tourney matchup, I think your analysis is spot on....WVU won't be an easy out for anybody in the big dance, if the Mounties can consistently shoot the ball, look out , their defense comes to play every night!

There are bad matchups out there for us, but that is for another day. I don't agree that our defense comes to play every night. Unfortunately for us most of our problems are between our ears.

We choked that game away ... but they were gifted 2 extra possessions by the refs as well. One was the 5 second call that wasn't 5 seconds (or if that was 5 seconds, then a later KU inbounds play was 7 seconds and wasn't called), and the other was the KU player stepping out of bounds that wasn't called. His feet were on the line and then he bounced the ball down as well and they missed it ... the announcers commented on it, but they never showed a replay ... I saw a still frame of it last night.

But still ... we had the ball with the game tied at the end and I'll never believe what Tarik did is what Huggins called for that final possession. We should have won the game right there ... and we never should have let it get to that point either.

For those saying Kansas isn't very good, they are 23-3 with wins over Duke and UK at UK and the experts are projecting them at a 1 seed. Just sayin.

ahia state gonna make it to 20 wins?
ahia state gonna make the tourney?

Just wondering.

UK won't make it to the sweet 16.
UK, like most teams I've seen this year is flawed...but can't see them getting sent home in the 2nd round! But like you I'd take WVU +50 in matchup with the cats for my house, pension and anything else of value...that game ain't no mismatch ,IMHO!
