Plus, for me as a Monongah High graduate, Nick "Brother" Saban, quarterback of the 1968 state championship football team, cleaned Michigan State's clock. So that's a trifecta.

2:34 a.m. when WVU finally beat Arizona State. Magnificent game with nearly 1,000 passing yards. Players cramping up from exertion and exhaustion. What a way to end the bowl season nationally!!!

Now I'll root for Brother to win his 5th national title, and 4th in about 7 years. Hell, in that time period he might have more national titles than all the other coaches combined.

It's a fabulous night to be a Mountaineer. WVU beat Arizona State. WVU beat Kansas State. Brother beat Michigan State.

I guess now I can die a happy man.
