owns a "well known" store in Barboursville. We had him and his wife at our home for dinner this week and of course we started discussing sports. He is a Marshall fan but he is a realist. We began talking about him having hardly any Marshall gear in his store but he has a ton of WVU gear. His answer to that? "I only have so much space. I can not fill that space with things people don't buy". I told him that I saw on the Herdnation site that they boycotted his store last year because of it. He said he didn't know that and never noticed. Just thought that was interesting.

Back in the day when Marshall was 1-AA I wore their gear

I grew up watching the herd as well as WVU........pulled for Marshall as they began winning........bought and proudly wore Marshall gear as they were my second favorite college team........then Bob Pruett began his chicken antics and the Marshall ONLY people seemed to get absurdly obnoxious and over bearing at that time and then came more of the same stupidity from D'antoni. Since then I mothballed all my MU sweats and t-shirts.........now I'm thinking of turning them into car waxing rags or giving them to Goodwill.

When I asked my nephew who was a student at Marshall why he never once attended a Herd football game during his years there, but he hardly ever missed attending a WVU game in spite of having to drive 3 hours to get there, his reply was "Marshall doesn't play anyone worth watching"........ . He was right.

Anyone need any green rags?
