Big 12 probably will be 8-2 to 6-4 after the season openers.
Problem areas: Kansas and Iowa State, as usual, although a split is possible in theory. Texas has to play Notre Dame and Kansas State goes to Stanford.
It would be great if the Big 12 could go 3-1 in those four games.
Friday
#23 Baylor hosts Northwestern State.
Kansas State visits #8 Stanford
Saturday
Missouri visits West Virginia (I’ll be there, because I’m not dead yet).
#3 Oklahoma VISITS #15 Houston (that’s like WVU going to Huntington or Ohio State going to Cincinnati).
South Dakota State at #13 TCU.
Southeast Louisiana at Oklahoma State.
Rhode Island visits Kansas.
Northern Iowa at Iowa State.
Northern Iowa at Iowa State.
SUNDAY
Notre Dame at Texas
SATURDAY
BYU at Arizona is of interest to WVU fans because the Mountaineers play BYU and former WVU coach Rich Rodriguez coaches Arizona. There will be comparative scores after BYU plays those two teams.
#20 Southern Cal vs. #1 Alabama and, on MONDAY, #11 Mississippi vs. #4 Florida State are the best early top 25 tests.
