One could make the argument that the defense cost Grier the Heisman. If they rise up to stop OSU and OU, Grier is right in the thick of it.

He would have had only one "bad" game - ISU. That may have been forgotten by the voters with those wins and a win next week.

Of course, that is all speculation. Bama's QB is probably getting it anyway.

ISU and OSU should have been wins - Dana and his coaching staff blew both. Oklahoma two
unfortunate fumbles gave that one away. With a good solid high school coaching staff we
should have been in Big 12 championship game. Not real complicated. Time for Shane
Lyons to step up to the plate with his broom - sweep them all out.
