UConn beat 13 Iona by 24, 5 Saint Mary’s by 15, Gonzaga by 28. Total margin of 67 points! No one is coming close to UConn in a March Madness where 1, 2 (except for Texas) and 3 seeds lost! And 3 of the 4 seeds, too. All except UConn. Only ONE 9 seed has ever made the Final Four before Florida Atlantic did. Wichita State in 2013.
Florida Atlantic beat 8 seed Memphis by 1, 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson by 8, 4 seed Tennessee by 13, 3 seed Kansas State by 3. That’s a combined margin of 25 points.
NO 1 seed, NO 3 seed but TWO 5 seeds, and one 6 and 9 seeds.
