Rome (Ga.) 2025 safety Rae Sykes told me that he had been talking with the West Virginia coaches since January so he was really excited to add the offer. He really likes what he's heard from secondary coach ShaDon Brown and graduate assistant Jevaughn Codlin and believes they're all good people and great coaches. He told me that he hasn't visited yet but plans to head up there soon in order to visit the campus and meet the coaches. One of the most intriguing things from afar about the program is the colors of their uniform. The coaches like how he plays the game and covers a lot of ground. Sykes attacks the ball and has a knack of making big plays. Sykes has been to Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Cincinnati and plans on visiting West Virginia and Michigan State.
