Good job, Dana.

Good for Ahia State, maybe now they can compete with the teams that Pitt beat last year.

accumulate all those stars and get their ass handed to them like a red headed bastard step child

Good for WVU. Perhaps, it will be better than middle-of-the-pack MAC teams like Central Michigan, for a change, but don't hold your breath.

Good job, Dana.
Hopefully this talent can get you more than 9 first downs and zero points next time

Uh, Ohio State was in the Playoffs for the second time in three years, ancient Slow Head. As you spin fairy tales about the strength of Ohio State's schedule, remember that the Buckeyes pistol-whipped the Big 12's undefeated conference champion in Norman.

Dana must be a much better coach than urban . OSU played an easier schedule and won 1 more game. JUST confirms how lucky we our to have Dana.

The only bowl team not to score a single point in the bowl season, and getting skunked by a team that lowly Pitt hung 43 points on proves that Ahia State wasn't deserving of a playoff spot.

So, which do you prefer? Getting shutout in a national playoff semi-final by the eventual national champs, or getting steamrolled in a meaningless bowl game by an unranked opponent?

You crawled out of Mommy's basement to post this sh!t? Ohio State played an easier schedule than WVU? Wow, there must be an idiotic making machine in overdrive in Morganhole these days. Ohio State's schedule strength was No. 6. WVU's was No. 15. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/sagarin/

With the above rankings, WVU finished in the top 20 with 5th year seniors ranked #50 and true seniors #31. Appears the rankings that are put on a class don't add up. Which can be said for any school's recruiting class.

Too simplistic, Coach. Your analysis fails to take into account early departures to the NFL. For example, Ohio State has had Top 10 classes ever since Urban Meyer stepped on campus, but has lost 15 players early to the NFL Draft in just the past two seasons. The fact that WVU has more players who stay in Morganhole for 4-5 years than the elite programs does not mean that the Fold & Blew's recruiting classes are better than their rankings. Oh, and WVU's Top 20 ranking is dubious, given that WVU was blown out by all three of the ranked opponents that it played. Class dismissed.

Well you should take it up with the sports writers and the coaches who make up their polls on why WVU finished in the top 20.
So are you saying that OSU's rankings need to be down graded due to the players who declare for the NFL draft? I didn't think so.
But even when the NFL departures fly off, isn't there another top 10 recruit to step in his place?
No. The "experts" go by the talent of a 17 or 18 year old that most of them only see a few highlights, a stat sheet and who is after them.

Ohio State should win it every year just based on the recruiting services ratings, but we all know that doesn't happen. Just like Alabama, USC, NotreDame, etc.

You're missing my point, Coach. You are looking at class recruiting ratings and subsequent poll rankings in a vacuum. Ohio State might have the best recruiting class in the history of college football, but not finish highly ranked 4-5 years later because many of the blue-chip recruits have already left for the NFL. Further, most of WVU's best recruits might stay in God forsaken Morganhole for 4-5 years, which may result in a higher poll ranking, due to the greater number of defections from schools with higher rated recruits. You're comparing apples to oranges because your theory doesn't take into account the fact that many of the blue-chip recruits at elite programs leave school early for the NFL.

But the elite programs just plug in new blue chip players and move along. Along with ohio state's superior coaching staff, that shouldn't be an issue.[eyeroll]
