When you have a 245 LB kid who hasn;t been stopped all night you go for it on 4th and 1 at the 50........and you don't let 30 seconds go off the clock with less than 2 minutes to play and 2 timeouts in your pocket. That is NOT winning football, and I'm beginning to think that HCNB might be in over his head......that is all......now I'm headed to the Cascades again where the golf is good and the beer is cold

I would have gone for it as well and stuck the final nail in Pitt's coffin, you ran over the top of them for the entire 2nd half, you would have made a foot! But still would have won the game if not for a fluke/bad luck play.

Tony is the King of the woulda, coulda, shoulda excuses on this Board. Pitt woulda, coulda, shoulda won more easily if its stupid punter hadn't handed WVU a touchdown, or it had been able to recover fumbles or intercept a wounded duck that shot straight up in the air when J.T. Daniels got blasted on an ill-advised throw. See how this works?

I don't know if the throw was ill advised he just got hit at the point of release. However, your point is valid as 4 Pitt defenders stood flatfooted and watched the WVU receiver actually jump for the ball.

If you think that sPitt is the 17th best team in the Country, then you should save your money and not bet on football. That team has some glaring flaws, but is lucky to play in the weak ACC, so the flaws aren't likely to get exposed often. Has sPitt touched #12 yet? WVU called a basic running play between its center and right guard over and over and sPitt never figured out how to plug the gap that #12 ran through untouched multiple times.

I don't recall saying Pitt was any good...in fact one could glean the opposite from my post! Pitt didn't deserve to win last night.

BUMP for horn tooter to try to post about football. She was big and bad last night on the main board, slappin' her man boobs and bragging about WVU's big bad D-Line. Dante Stills is so good that he's playing his FIFTH season of college football...LOLOLOLOL

My bad, as FraudForever doesn't know a football from a cumquat. Watch her post the same thing she has posted more than 20 times already today...dance for me puppet, dance...

SANDUSKYForever fantasizes about child pornography being posted on this message board--which never happened--and can't stop posting about his sick fantasy.

the golf was good and the beer even better....Pitt is pretty good but our coach cost us that one by being too conservative

I don't know about that. With a seven-point lead, six minutes remaining in the game and confidence in your defense (okay, overconfidence), punting the ball away and pinning the opponent deep is not an unreasonable decision. Glad your beer was good. I'll be tossing back a few lagers on tap here soon.

at some point he has got to show the team that he has confidence in them to make a freaking yard.....rich rod and horsewoman weren't my favorite people but at least they would take a gamble...that's what also bugs me about basketball the last couple of years...can't or won't stomp on peoples throats when they have them down...hopefully that changes this year
