First 42 pass attempts after winning 4 games in a row going 60% run. With an injured QB. Second Smallwood is the best player on WVU and he doesn't get the ball on 4th down instead an injured Howard does, to run (remember Smallwood didn't get the ball in overtime against Oklahoma State). I cannot defend those decisions. I would if I could but I can't so I won't. 42 pass attempts! Guess the ground and pound winning got on Holgorsen's nerves?

Agree, going back to the pass would seem to be a bad sign in and of itself as far as coaching decision making goes. We averaged 4 yards per carry rushing for the game with Samllwood and shell averaging 5.5 per carry. Howard was averaging zero or negative yards per carry even before the 4 and 1 run, so why was that even an option?

we knew all year, that howard was not fast, and then to put it on his lap,
Dana and my thinking is far apart. Howard is not our best option to run
and not much as pass. why let him make the call to keep or run. that is beyond stupid, and if i Howard took it on himself, benched. if not then
i would be called into someones office to explain what happened!!!!!!!!
