2. WVU defense needs to keep up its "what the hell are these guys going to do this play?" strategy. Gibby earned national DC of the week award for the TT job.

3. On a lesser level, it would help if Molinaro's kickoffs are as deep into the end zone as they were in the TT winds. I'll give TCU the KO on the 25 every time rather than risk that bouncy, bouncy KO strategy.

I'll be in Mountaineer Field, as usual, unless I'm dead, to enjoy my alma mater staying undefeated in football. Join me and 62,000 others!

There's only a few more days until the game....I'm sure you'll still be alive then.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gibby starts light on the blitzing. Hill makes some bad decisions without pressure.

My bet is that Gibby will start by faking blitz and sending 7-8 into coverage and make Hill use his head while looking for that delayed blitz that isn't coming.

I don't think that will be the plan the whole game, but early on when he's on the road and jacked up with adrenaline....

If this is the year we finally win a national title, I hope to be alive through the Football Final Four championship game. Then I can die a happy man, buried under the double Cuyahoga Falls grave marker with WV beneath my name and my late wife's name. I want the world to know a century from now that I still am a Mountaineer fan.

CFE, I liked the sentiment, but I hope you are around for many years to come.

I had a good friend offer me an extra ticket so I am all in for som payback from 2 years ago! Heading up fron Raleigh EARLY Saturday morning!

CFE won't even acknowledge that we have an offense...................... kind of childish, really.

Every pass Howard completes is another mark of success for Dana........... and it eats CFE up inside

It NEVER "eats me up inside" when my alma mater does well, no matter who is the coach or the player. I was a WVU fan before you were born and I'll be a WVU fan after I'm dead. I also have more expertise, which I share with those on this board. I praise the good and am sad for the bad. Not Pollyanna. But not the Grinch either.

You only make yourself look bad when you challenge my expert opinions.

Glad to see the screaming brat is no longer your signature face. I adore the guy you're using now. We had a good chat a few years ago in Cleveland. I bless the day that Huggs came back to WVU.

I don't understand why people can't disagree without being disagreeable. It's OK to disagree with me, without attacking me.

I only want what's best for my alma mater. That's the way I've been for 78 years (I didn't start till I was 5 or 6).

Anyway, doesn't that qualify as elderly abuse? :sunglasses:

Have a nice day.

Key to beating TCU...

SCORE MORE POINTS THAN THEY DO!

It's that simple.

Can't argue with that. But Gibby's defense has been helping with that a ton.

I'll guess Keaton? I've put him on ignore for the negativeism and snarkyness, so I'm guessing.

Like shooting fish in a barrel with that guess. I thought about ignore, but I have too much fun cutting him up with my superior football knowledge.
Some people just don't know when they're in over their heads with the competition. With the two of us, it would be like Fairmont State going up against Alabama. West Virginians on both ends, but the comparison ends there.

Now, let's make some Horned Frogs soup. See you in Mountaineer Field!

Look at the time stamp; 12:13 pm. Past his lunch time. Meant Molina, thinking marinara sauce; combined the two. Very logical.

Molina, Molina, Molina. With my mother being born in Italy you would think I'd get that right. Mama mia, I may have to turn in my Italian-American DNA. :sunglasses:

I get what you're saying CFE, but the O is top 10 in the country right now and Holgs play calling might be the best it's been in the programs history. He has been keeping the opposing defense off balance all year. Absolutely right about the O-line but what offense won't struggle without a good line.

CFE will be the first to yell I told you so when WVU loses it's first game.

Pretty sure I'm quicker on the draw.

Anyway, unlike DH, I think our team needs to win the war of turnovers on a regular basis.

I agree - two keys to a win on Saturday -

1. WVU offensive line must run and pass block well. Shell and Crawford need big days.
2. WVU defense must pressure QB Hill and not allow big plays. Hill is susceptible to pressing too much into mistakes.

At 84 (as of Nov. 5) I doubt that I can be fast enough to be first in line. Plenty of young studs on this board will beat me to it.

Let me repeat: Dana's playcalling against Tech was brilliant. The O line was fantastic. Gibby's defense is amazingly befuddling. See a negative there?

I analyze. I was paid by 3 giants of industry to do it for years. Now I do it for free. And you're complaining? That's ingratitude for you.

I just hope our Defense doesn't over-purse Hill and let him get past them for big rushing gains. They need to press him, but keep him in front of them. Its all downhill from there....unless Howard comes down with a case of interceptionitis.......that would be bad.

WVU's defense has been pretty good at that, even when Gibby only rushes 3. It always looks like a mad scramble when WVU's defense comes calling, but it's just the mad genius Gibby's way of keeping the oppose offense confused, rattled and OMG-ing it. Let's hope it keeps up on Saturday against TCU. Don't forget how well the O line has been protecting Skyler, too. That makes his passing far more effective.
