Maui residents shred Pedo-Joe for 'tone-deaf' comments during 'multi-million dollar photo-op' visit: 'Outrageous'

He just doesn't care. No more than he cared about our fallen soldiers with their blood on his hands.

He's phony, a pedophile and a POS.

WVSPORTS.COM West Virginia head coach Neal Brown press conference summary

--West Virginia head coach Neal Brown said the scrimmage under the lights Saturday with Big 12 officials. Coach Don Nehlen was here and he had a group of guys here. They worked every special teams phase, went live there and approximately 46-snaps with the ones and just a few under that with the twos and the threes for 20 snaps. Everybody on the roster saw snaps.

--Special teams had a really good day, pleased with where they're at. Danny King and Michael Hayes are really good and a real battle for their kickoff job, though Michael is ahead in field goals. They punted the ball well and this week special team's wise they will continue to work a lot of stuff under the lights this week.

--Defensively they started slow but picked it up in two-minute situations and created three takeaways in two-minutes. Lance Dixon had a sack and two TFLs, it's time for him to take a step. Hershey McLaurin had his best day of fall camp. Beanie Bishop and Malachi Ruffin at corner had nice days and Tray Lathan and Tirek Austin-Cave were around the ball. Hammond Russell and Corey McIntyre both had good days.

--Offensively got off to a fast start and reduced penalties but turnovers were not good. They have to hold onto the ball better. Traylon Ray has had a nice week, Preston Fox came back on Saturday and was really productive and Kole Taylor had some nice plays in two minute. Jaheim White and CJ Donaldson both impressed. They tried to rotate the offensive line and communication wise they were really on point. Offensively, Devin Carter and Cortez Braham they could have played if it was a game but kept them out. Mock week this week, everything they will do is similar to next week outside Wednesday evening to get under the lights in the stadium and they'll do a mock game Saturday.

--Brown has a really good idea of who they're going to play and who will start the game at pretty much every position. WILL linebacker is still going on was a battle. Two deep at receiver will continue to go through this week and behind the five offensive linemen is still ongoing.

--Brown knows who is going to play and who is going to start but he doesn't know if he's going to share that.

--They will take advantage of the rule being a non-conference road game and taking as many people as possible.

--The quarterbacks know, they just haven't done anything formal with it. One of them is a little further ahead and that's where it is.

--Quarterbacks there has been a progression leadership wise and feeling comfortable in their own skin and fundamentally being able to take the drills they do and apply those in pressure situations. Brown is comfortable but they've got to continue to get better. He is pleased with where they're at.

--Going into the scrimmage it verified what had happened throughout camp. Both guys have gotten better but one of them has performed at a higher level and they're going to continue to push them and it's clear who has been ahead at this point. There's a lot of data points and who rolls out there first in the game it's been decided over a lot of them. He is comfortable with how it's went.

--Seven is where it's at right now on the offensive line with the six that played last year and Nick Malone.

--Decision making over a long term helped to settle the quarterback spot and accuracy. He feels comfortable with both and he could play both.

--Sean Martin has been practicing at a limited level. Green is coming off tomorrow for him.

--Nick Malone has gotten stronger. He was thin in high school and really athletic, but it's been a three-plus year process to get him there. He has patience and been self-aware on what he needed to do.

--Bilal Marshall is doing a really good job. Guys have caught the ball better and been disciplined but they have to go out and be productive on Saturdays. They have to go out and do it, but he's comfortable with where the room is at being big and physical inside and some change up guys that can really run and the slots have blocked well.

--Justin Johnson has been consistent and he's been there the whole time from the whole perspective of playing the position. Jarel Williams has been a surprise, he's had a nice camp and going into his redshirt freshman year he's made a big jump, Dae Dae Hawkins has been a surprise and Fatorma Mulbah has really been in shape and played well. Tomiwa Durojaiye is coming along.

--Jaheim White, Rodney Gallagher, Traylon Ray will all play. James Heard has a chance.

--That's going to be ongoing at WILL so he doesn't anticipate it being one guy starting there and playing all the reps.

--The defensive line got better over the last week going against the offensive line.

WVU Release Farrakhan enrolls at West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's basketball interim head coach Josh Eilert has announced that Noah Farrakhan has enrolled at WVU for the 2023-24 academic year.

His eligibility status for the 2023-24 basketball season will be determined at a later date.

A 6-foot-1, 165-pound guard from Hillside, New Jersey, Farrakhan played basketball at Eastern Michigan the last two seasons and his freshman campaign at East Carolina.

"Noah is a combo guard with outstanding athleticism and a knack for scoring the basketball," Eilert said. "In the open court, he's as good as anyone in the country moving downhill. He's very fluid with how he gets to the rim and how he finishes. He's hard to stay in front of with his quickness and how active he is. Noah will bring high energy to our team."

Last season at Eastern Michigan, Farrakhan started 28 of 31 games played, averaging 12.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 0.7 steals. He ranked 25th in the MAC in field goal percentage (43.2), 19th in free throw percentage (75.3) and 23rd in assists (2.3). Farrakhan scored a season-high 26 points against Northern Illinois. He nearly had a double-double at Toledo, finishing with 14 points and a career-high nine rebounds.

At Eastern Michigan in 2021-22, he started 25 of 26 games and led the team with an average of 16.6 points per game, ranking seventh in the MAC. Farrakhan scored double figures 15 times and scored 20 or more points 10 times. He recorded a career-high 31 points against Northern Illinois and led the team in scoring 15 times.

In two seasons at Eastern Michigan, he scored 808 points with 230 rebounds and 135 assists.

As a freshman at East Carolina, Farrakhan saw action in 12 games, averaging 3.0 points per game. He scored a season-high 11 points against Radford.

Farrakhan graduated from The Patrick School, leading the Celtics to a sectional championship. He also played at IMG Academy and guided his team to the 2019 GEICO High School National Championship. Farrakhan started his high school career at St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, New Jersey, and was a member of the 2017 and 2018 NJISSA state championship teams.

25-30%

@Mountaineer Gooch can stage me.

I feel that a WVU upset in ped valley is about a 25-30% chance of occurring.

I've said this a few times all spring and summer.

Three factors play into my thought process here:

1) GG has enough wiggle in his step and swag in his leadership.

2) ped st does struggle often in their home openers against lesser teams.

3) WVU is sick and tired of hearing how bad they are.

So we trade Texas, Kansas, K-State, Iowa State for . . .

UCF, Houston, BYU, Cincinnati. That looks like trading 1-3 or 0-4, for 3-1 or 4-0. I'll take it!

Beat Pitt, Duquesne, OSU all at home and we're bowl bound at 6-6 or 7-5. Penn State, TT, TCU, Oklahoma, Baylor, likely all losses.

Pull an upset or 2 and we could have 8-9 wins. But without those upsets I doubt Neal is retained.

Pedo admin takes action restricting oil, gas development after settlement with eco groups

@Soaring Eagle 74...What were you were saying about Pedo-Joe's support for fossil fuels? (Dumbass)

Democrats and their bleaters are destroying our country

The Pedo administration issued new restrictions on oil and gas companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico, in an effort to protect a whale species after it settled last month with a coalition of environmental groups.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), which manages energy development in federal waters, published a Notice to Lessees and Operators (NTL) on Monday evening highlighting expanded protections for the Rice’s whale, a species listed under the Endangered Species Act. BOEM was slated to issue the NTL last week, but delayed it until Monday.

"This decision by the Pedo Administration does an end-around legal requirements and the public process, imposing unwarranted restrictions on U.S. energy production at a time of continued inflation with prices rising at the pump for consumers," said National Ocean Industries Association President Erik Milito.

"The NTL, coupled with the broader Stipulated Stay Agreement, poses a barrier to America's energy production capabilities within a region that not only sustains hundreds of thousands of high-paying jobs but also yields some of the world's least carbon-intensive barrels," Milito continued. "Despite lacking ample scientific evidence to support such extensive bans on operations, the agreement targets the domestic offshore oil and gas industry."

He added that the agreement the pedo administration reached with environmental groups ignores the "best science," contravenes congressional intent under the Inflation Reduction Act and threatens America's energy independence.

Under the NTL issued Monday, BOEM created a vast new protection zone stretching across the Gulf of Mexico with a variety of new conditions for industry operators. Among its recommendations, BOEM said specially-trained visual observers should be aboard all vessels traversing the area, all ships regardless of size should travel no quicker than 10 knots, and vessels should only travel through the area in the daytime.

Those recommendations will be introduced as stipulations to Lease Sale 261, an upcoming offshore oil and gas lease auction. And BOEM removed an estimated 11 million acres of potential oil-rich lease blocks from that lease sale under its actions Monday.

"The federal government is moving forward to expand these protections to other ocean users and industries through the proposed designation of critical habitat for the Rice’s whale that will establish a restricted pathway through the entirety of the Gulf of Mexico, imposing disruptions to the full Gulf Coast economy — home to numerous strategic national ports — and reverberating throughout the whole U.S. economy," Milito said.

"Among other things, making areas off-limits, imposing speed restrictions, and limiting transit at night and times of low visibility will impact the ability of the offshore energy industry to explore, construct, and develop energy projects in the Gulf of Mexico," he added. "The proposed restrictions would potentially eliminate or hamper safely established and efficient activities in the Gulf of Mexico."

In a federal stipulated stay agreement filed late last month, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) agreed to a number of conditions requested by four eco groups led by the Sierra Club which, in response, agreed to temporarily pause litigation in the related case. The case dates back nearly three years when, in October 2020, the environmental coalition sued the NMFS for failing to properly assess the oil industry impacts on endangered and threatened marine wildlife in the Gulf of Mexico.

They pursued the lawsuit after the NMFS coordinated a multiagency consultation studying the effects all federally regulated oil and gas activities would have on species listed under the Endangered Species Act in the Gulf of Mexico over the next 50 years. The groups argued in the original complaint that the NMFS' biological opinion resulting from its consultation was not based on the best science.

"Today’s notice from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management is yet another example of the pedo administration working to restrict American energy, which could lead to higher energy costs and weaken U.S. security," Holly Hopkins, American Petroleum Institute (API) vice president of upstream policy, said Monday.

"The recommended actions are not justified by existing data nor operational experience, would impose significant burdens on the men and women currently working in the region, and unfairly single out oil and gas traffic in an area that is one of the most used maritime areas in U.S. waters," Hopkins continued.

According to API, the NTL solely targets oil and gas traffic while refraining from restricting vessel traffic related to other industries.

Basketball team as of now (tomorrow last day to get players enrolled?)

PG: Kerr, Bembry, Johnson

SG: Battle (needs waiver), Wilson, Johnson, Perez, Ofri Naveh?

SF: Perez, Josiah Harris, Ofri Naveh

PF: Akok Akok, Quinn Slazinski, Pat Suemnick

C: Jesse Edwards, Quinn Slazinski, Akok

Wish we could add another guard to the mix but time is not on our side. Anymore rumors of adding another guard or is the team what is it at this point?

We really need that waiver for Battle. Would be a massive loss. Crossing my fingers.

Have they officially submitted Battles waiver yet?
