Time for a Change at the Helm for the Betterment of the PROGRAM

After reviewing the details of the current situation post-2023 season, it is obvious changes are due. As of the conclusion of this season, Brown's buyout drops to $13 million. As much as I want to remain hopeful, the reality is staring us right in the face: he hasn't been able to turn the PROGRAM around.

I remember my 7 year old granddaughter last weekend telling me, "Grandpa, you're a FUN SPONGE ." for not letting her buy some stupid toy. It' was said in jest, but sometimes the truth hits harder than we'd like. In this context, this PROGRAM under Neal seems to be draining the fun, enthusiasm and spirit that once made us proud.

I believe our Wren Baker should have a candid conversation with Neal on Monday. and say, "Listen, Neal. We both understand that this situation isn't ideal. This is not working out. You are not happy and as you know our fans are not happy with your results. We both know if you decide to part ways at the end of the season, we owe you $13 million. But, we don’t want to simply fire you. Instead, we'd like to offer you an option to leave with some semblance of dignity and. announce effective today your resignation as Head Coach of WVU for the betterment of the PROGRAM, and WVU will provide you with $7 million payment now. (and you are free to take any job that desire with any interference from WVU. This way, you can exit gracefully. However, if this isn't agreeable, we'll proceed with termination and still offer you the $7 million. Any further actions, like pursuing legal recourse, are up to you. You're a respectable man, Neal, but we must consider the future of our beloved program."

Change can be tough, but sometimes it's a necessity for growth and progress. Thoughts, everyone?

The coaching search when we hired Neal

IIRC, a lot of schools had a chance to hire Neal, but passed on him. They must have seen something we didn’t at the time. I think we’ve seen over the past few years that Neal isn’t a big time coach.

We really need to make a splash with the next hire. What sucks is that it’ll probably take another couple of rebuilding years after the new coach gets here.

I thought Neal was a good recruiter, but the results on the field don’t show it. I always feel like our opponents are bigger, stronger, and faster.

It’s time to move on.

Israel vows to cut off 'the head of the snake' and launch a military attack against Iran if Hezbollah joins the war with Hamas.

Israel last night vowed to cut off 'the head of the snake' and launch a military attack against Iran if Tehran-backed terror group Hezbollah joins the war.

In an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, Nir Barkat, Israel's Minister of Economy, warned that Iran's Ayatollahs will be 'wiped off the face of the earth' should Hezbollah, their proxy terror group in Lebanon, attack Israel.

In a direct threat to deter Tehran from intervening further, Mr Barkat warned that not only would Israel 'eliminate Hezbollah', if it believes the terror group is opening up a 'northern front', but 'we will actually target Iran.'

'The plan of Iran is to attack Israel on all fronts. If we find they intend to target Israel, we will not just retaliate to those fronts, but we will go to the head of the snake, which is Iran.
'The Ayatollahs in Iran are not going to sleep good at night, we are going to make sure they pay a heavy price if, God forbid, they open the northern front.'
