RECRUITING UPDATE WVU offers a 2025 power forward

West Virginia has offered Trent MacLean. He's a 6-9 forward at SoCal Academy in Castaic, Ca. It's interesting that MacLean will play this season at the same school as Kelvin Odih, the 2025 guard who will announce his commitment on Wednesday and WVU is one of the finalists.

This is how this program is perceived at handling coaching hiring and firings…

We just don’t fire coaches here until last resort. This is all opinion but it speaks volumes as to the way people view our program. You guys are going to hate this but it’s probably not too far off…… right now. The Oklahoma State win took Brown off of the top 20 list. We then lost a game we were supposed to lose. Not advocating by any means but this is how this program has been run in my lifetime except when Luck was the AD..

Lewis Center (Oh.) Olentangy 2026 linebacker CJ Sanna told me that while he didn't know what to expect on his first visit to West Virginia he had a lot of fun and the overall atmosphere was electric for the Iowa State game. He told me that the coaching staff told him to keep performing well and he spoke with a lot of different people but mainly inside linebackers coach Jeff Koonz and head coach Neal Brown. Sanna said he could definitely see himself fitting in the scheme but he doesn't know if he will be back for another visit this season although he was really impressed with the fan base.
