That if Gerad Parker does take the tight ends job at Notre Dame, this was largely fueled by one or two reasons. One either he is going to make more money there or two is he looking for a fresh start after effectively being demoted to the wide receivers coach with a co-offensive coordinator title once West Virginia hired Graham Harrell. I do expect that if Parker does make the move, and it does seem to be strongly trending in that direction as he interviewed there yesterday, that Harrell will have significant input on who will replace Parker.
