--West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said that Kansas is very good and they make shots. They've shot it well all year and they aren't as big as imposing as they've been in the past but they put the ball into the basket.

--Huggins said they haven't gone nearly as hard or as long in practice this week. West Virginia hasn't even thought about Iowa State right now because of the limited time to prepare. Huggins likes these back-to-back games when they win.

--Travel is rough. In and out of hotels, on and off of planes, it's hard on you and hard on his team. They've responded pretty well to it but it takes you a while to come back when you're getting home at 5 a.m. in the morning. The travel is harder than anybody else's.

--If you look back over the history of the deal Kansas has gotten incredible breaks that nobody else has gotten. They get breaks that nobody else gets. It's a given that they're going to try to guard better. Huggins thought Tre Mitchell had a great game and made a lot of hard shots against Oklahoma State.

--You don't travel in the NCAA Tournament so it's not the same when playing two games so close like what West Virginia will do. You don't jump on a plane and fly a couple hours and for all the stuff they didn't hear about not having a convenient airport, there aren't a lot of them in the league. Another hour or hour and a half in each case of travel after you landed. The biggest thing is getting some rest and looking at some film.

--Huggins left a couple places where every time they played it was a sell out. He knew the people in this state would rally behind them if they did what they were supposed to do. They've had a rough year and had chances to win games and missed free throws and they're still where they are. They needed to finish those games better without question and they didn't. They are where they are and they know they need to win another game probably and just have to find a way to win another game.

--West Virginia has wanted to keep each other fresh and have an opportunity to heal up.

--Huggins said they ought to go back and look at a lot of the games that were played at Kansas and you could make quite a case for why they win there all the time. It's been a lot of years and it hasn't happened much.

--Huggins thinks they've been able to use all three of the bigs situationally to their advantage. They all bring something special to the table but it's a matter of what they need at this particular time. Jimmy Bell has improved drastically and continues to improve. Coming back another year would drastically improve his skill level. He hasn't scored as consistently as he did in the non-conference because they're playing better teams.

--Kansas has seen their freshmen get better and better the more that they've played.

--Huggins said he hopes that the new Big 12 will cut down on their extended travel and will be really good for them.
