That is wrong. The Union fought to preserve the nation, not to end slavery. One can argue the Confederacy fought for their right to maintain slavery but slavery wasn't why the Union fought

Trying to pinpoint a reason for the Civil War is like pinpointing the reason most people get divorced.
Saying the north just wanted to preserve the nation maybe true , but for what reasons? Greed or a noble reason ? I'm glad we had the Civil War for many reasons good and bad come from it .

We have the 2024 Presidential Election coming up.

In a fair election AGAINST ANYBODY, Biden will LOSE.

It is NOT wrong...you are correct in the fact that the Union fought to preserve the nation.
I am also correct with this : The southern states wanted to continue subjugating human beings. Many northern states disagreed.

I think we are ALL correct except those who believe the false narrative it was only about slavery. There were many reasons and likely many that have either purposely or accidentally been lost to time. Not every Confederate was fighting for slavery. And I’m sure there were Union officers who agreed with slavery. Point is, and will always be about states rights and the federal government refusing to allow 13 states to leave the US. That is what it was about. Had the federal government allowed them to leave, there would not have been a civil war.
