Uh Oh! According to McClatchy, Hillary mishandled classified material

Good grief. Once again you employ "Ready-Fire-Aim" -- some intelligence officials have tried to retroactively classify some of the content.

State Department officials routinely gather and report diplomatic information that “in an intelligence context could be read very differently,” said [John] Fitzpatrick, the director of the Information Security Oversight Office at the National Archives.

Mostly, they're pissed at Hillary because State released some stuff they don't like in response to a FOIA request.

The IG's noted that the materials were classified when Hillary received them and when she passed them on. Hillary doesn't get to decide to keep her own server. If a Republican did this, you would call for his resignation and rightfully so. Hillary can't avoid FOIA's. That is against the law. Her server was almost certainly hacked. But we will never know since she destroyed the server. She jeopardized national security for her own personal benefit. The lengths libs go to to protect Hillary is actually beyond comprehension.

You cannot send an email from a classified server to an email server on any unclassified network. They are 2 separate entities. It would be like trying to drive from California to Hawaii. Now, someone can talk about something classified on an unclassified network - and that's spillage.

When you talk about classified info, someone has to decide what level different pieces of information are. That's not done instantaneously. It's entirely possible that some event occurs, people discuss it over email, and the classification folks meet and decide that it is some higher level. I would think that would be entirely possible at the State Dept given that they have to react to events happening in real time - classification is a post-processing kind of thing.

She may have done something wrong knowingly or unknowingly. I'm not trying to defend her use of a private server or the passing of classified info on unclassified systems. I'm just trying to paint a scenario where this could have been something that was not out of the norm.
