DH was saying about the same thing last year about his O-line - got 8-9 really playing. Then before the first kickoff he was complaining about none of the 2s pushing the 1s. 2s were just happy to be there and have a uniform. At the end of every game, the 1s had played every snap and they were totally used up late into the game. A couple in state boys never did push.
This year, we seem to have 8-10 that can go into the game and give an effort. Understand that it is difficult to replace someone when the game is on the line, but there has to be a 2 that can do better than a totally exhausted 1. Late last year some of the 1s couldn't go and a 2 was inserted with seemingly no ill effect. That appears to be a coach who is just unable to substitute. hopefully this team is with depth as appears on paper.
