While I admit to seeing humor in your post given the whacko's attempts to discredit Kerry's military service, his Purple hearts, his Silver Star, and Bronze Star, it is still funny how you and others of your ilk, who likely never served , continue to pound the guy when he volunteered to go to Vietnam (twice) while people like W and Cheney pulled every string imaginable to avoid serving in Vietnam. Like it or not, Kerry is a war hero despite what the swiftboater morons claim. They had their agenda which is rooted in Kerry's anti-war stance he took upon returning. And ironically enough, the vast majority of Americans eventually came around to agreeing with him. Funny this coming from someone who I bet NEVER served his countries military ( please correct me if I am wrong). The last I checked President George W. Bush served AND was Commander In Chief for eight years.
Not to minimize his service (like you want to do with Bush's) but Kerry wasn't seeking fame and glory, or hard combat. He was seeking an assignment that wasn't going to be that dangerous, only to have that change after his request went through.

There is this false notion that everyone in the military in the 60's was in Vietnam, and more importantly in Vietnam and in danger. The vast majority were not.

You continue to show how dumb you are with your every post. Clinton objected to the war and did so publicly. But ultimately, he registered for the draft and was never selected. W and Cheney pulled strings to get out of serving in Vietnam. They didn't want to go. It is documented that Cheney said he "had other priorities". And W served in the National Guard which was the rich man's shelter at the time from being shipped overseas. The children of opulence were too good for Vietnam. Yet Kerry volunteered to go. Fir tow tours. Granted he served in the Navy. And granted it wasn't likely when he signed up that he'd be in harm's way. But he ultimately was. And he performed admirably being awarded hardware for valor. Yet morons like yourself continue to try to discredit him for his service. Which was the whole point of the original post. You're welcome for another schooling.
