......allow me to highly recommend Kramarczuk's Deli.

Absolutely superb sausages,,,,,the highly-seasoned Ukranian with sauerkraut was off-the-charts......and many wonderful-looking (which I didn't try at lunch) Eastern European dishes like piroghis and cabbage rolls (halupki). Also, mucho breads and baked goods in their store. They even have a small parking lot next door.

It's just a little west of the U of Minnesota campus near the corner of University Ave and East Hennepin.

Something I did for Oktoberfest this year. I used ground pork, panko, egg, celery, onion and bratwurst seasoning (coriander, marjoram, dried mustard, nutmeg) and made pork dumplings/meatballs. Then braised them in a mixture of Samuel Adams and chicken stock. You talk about a seller.

Served with braised kraut and a grain mustard jus. Really good October item..
 
Holy smokes man! I want that right now!

By the way, I think Easter European cuisine is underrated in the food world.
