How big of an upset.....

....was Canada's win over the US (at home, of course) in the Pan-Am games ??? Essentially, I'm not following the overall competition at all; and as for basketball....something for which I'd historically have at least a casual interest.....I presumably wouldn't/don't know too many guys on the 2015 US team anyway.

Still, is this a huge/moderate/minor upset ??

I think it was a moderate upset seeing as the US best really wasn't there on the whole... mens baseball and womens basketball winning gold is something definitely positive from our perspective in showing we can compete. The fact that the majority of our athletes in these sports get their training paid for in the States in first rate programs from some prep schools on up doesn't hurt either...it is nice to see them competing on a world type stage vs their friends and rivals as well...
I've actually got a question I'll post maybe KC or some of the others with their ear to the ground on basketball recruiting may be able to answer ?.......
